Why Public Speaking?

Because in tech, doing great work isn’t enough.

✅ You’ve shipped hard things
✅ You’ve solved complex bugs
❌ But you’ve been told: “You need to be more visible”

Here’s what that really means:

You need to present your ideas clearly. You need to speak so people listen.

This isn’t a “nice to have.”

If you want to grow—into a senior role, a staff+ position, or a future coaching business—this is a skill you can’t skip.

Your Struggles Are Common. You're Not Alone.

Sound familiar?

  • “I freeze when I have to present to leadership.”
  • “I put so much extra effort into my work, yet I feel invisible.”
  • “I want to speak at a meetup or conference, but I have no idea how to start.”
  • “The thought of public speaking makes me sweat, shake, and want to disappear.”

I’ve been there. This community exists because I was an engineer like you—and I built what I wish I had access to years ago: a practice ground, a support system, and a shortcut to speaking confidently.

What Makes This Different?

❌ Not a massive, impersonal video course
❌ Not a generic public speaking group
❌ Not $300+/mo for 1-on-1 coaching

✅ Built for engineers, by an engineer
✅ Live practice, not just passive learning
✅ Only €40/month—less than the cost of a tech book or dinner out

This Isn’t a Course. It’s a Habit.

Most engineers watch speaking courses...
...and still freeze when they step on stage
...and still write boring abstracts
...and still create unreadable slides
...and still give talks no one remembers
...and still feel alone

I created something better: A place to try. To fail safely. To grow among peers—so you can crush it when it counts.

Meet Your Coach

Photo of Ivett Ördög Hi, I’m Ivett.

I gave my first tech talk over 20 years ago—and it was a disaster. I panicked. I stuttered. I bombed.

No one remembers that talk—Luckily.

Years later, I joined a study group of engineers who practiced together and gave each other honest feedback. That group changed everything.

Since then, I’ve spoken at conferences across Europe, picked up Best Talk of the Conference awards, and built a small but loyal following in the engineering community.

The feedback speaks for itself:

4.62 out of 5 rating with positive feedback on talk at L8 conference

Here’s a photo of the feedback board after one of my talks:

4.9 out of 5 rating at Clean Code Days

And just for fun, here’s a glimpse of the speaker badges I’ve collected over the years—proof I don’t just talk the talk:

FAQ

Is this right for beginners?

Absolutely. Most of our members are new to public speaking—or terrified of it. You’ll fit right in.

When are the office hours and practice sessions?

They’re scheduled at varied times to suit different time zones. That said, this community is best suited for people in Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Can my company pay for this?

Yes. Many employers reimburse this under “professional development.” We provide invoices.

What if I’m not a native English speaker?

Great! Many of our members aren’t. We focus on structure, delivery, and clarity—your accent doesn’t matter.
